Talent Show
During the school break in April the girls arranged, on their own, a Talent Show. All of the girls participated, regardless of age. The show was judged by a group of the girls, along with a head judge, our new Psychologist, Maria Wangeci. Girls showcased different talents such as singing, reciting poems, dancing and modeling. Participants displayed their creativity in a unique way and the staff enjoyed witnessing confident girls modeling their creations in the living room. The show ended with a highlight – a selection of one girl to represent each house with the title “Ms. Rehoboth House” and “Ms. Ebenezer House” (these are the two houses where our girls live). The winners were both 14-years old - Emily Kipiko and Mercy Nekesa. There was a lot of cheering, laughter and fun during the event and the girls plan to have a similar event during their August break. To take it a notch higher, they will elect “Ms. Providence Children’s Home”. We can’t wait to see what they learned and how they will perform in the next talent show.
